Holy Trinity, Weston Lullingfields

Holy Trinity church was built in the 1860s to join the expanding development of Weston Wharf with the rest of the village. However, with the advent of the Railway in nearby Baschurch, the canal fell into disuse and plans for major expansion of the village declined.  The church has a rare Hilditch organ.

Church services are held on the 1st (Family Worship) and 3rd (Holy Communion) Sundays in the month at 9.30am. Refreshments are served after the services.

The village still retains its Church of England Primary School and there are strong links between the school and church with regular school events being held in church – Harvest, Christmas Carol Service, Leavers Service, etc.

Despite the lack of amenities in the village there is a strong sense of identity in the place with a number of social activities held for all the village in the village hall. The church social committee organise Vintage Tea Parties, the Village Fete (together with the school and village hall committee), Call My Bluff, Quiz Evenings, Harvest Meal, and the Christmas Fayre. Church members are active on the governing body and the Eleanor Harris Charitable Trust that supports both this and the school in Baschurch.
